New Term 2 Classes, Rehearsals & Music




Term classes begin Tuesday 20 April. With multiple productions scheduled for the second half of the year it's time to step it up.

JUNIORS (Year 4 - 6)

Monday Junior Drama now has two components, the first hour will be improvised play building (new students are welcome). The second hour is specific rehearsals for the scripted show 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. (Cast are expected to attend the full 2 hours from 4pm. 6pm).

New junior drama venue is The Temple on the Park at 158 Australia Street, Newtown.

There are NO changes to Wednesday Junior Musical Theatre which will continue at St David's Church Hall in Haberfield from 3.45pm - 5.45pm. New performers are welcome to join the ensemble in the current production 'Tale of Two Orphans' based on 'Annie' and 'Oliver'.

SENIORS (Year 7 - 11)

Tuesday Senior Musical Theatre AND Thursday Senior Drama now run for 2.5 hours respectively, and are ONLY OPEN to company cast members or by application/invitation.

Both senior rehearsal days are now at THE TRAMSHEDS in the Harold Park Community Hall. Pick up is now at 6.30pm unless travelling on the minibus or specified on a rehearsal roster.

NB: A discount applies for actors performing in the senior drama company plays AND senior musical theatre company shows as they must attend rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Many actors will be invited to attend extra sessions to contribute to the productions, including acting in the STILL monologues, contributing to the Writer's Room, filming short films and playing in the band for the musical theatre show. There will be NO CHARGE for these extra sessions on Saturday afternoons 2pm - 5pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Production costs (venues etc.) continue to increase so we kindly ask if you are unable to pay term fees within 7 days of receiving your invoice that you contact Peter to organise either a weekly/fortnightly/monthly payment plan.

IYT represents the inner west region for national performing arts festivals and competitions and put on up to five performances per year.
